Page 10 of 12 Rehearsal Dress Because of the intensive dance background that is modern color guard it is important that members dress appropriately for rehearsal. Appropriate rehearsal attire includes: - shorts or tights (no jeans or baggy sweats)
- sports bra, leotard, or tank top (no sleeves or baggy T-shirts)
- knee pads for ground work
- sweatshirt, gloves, hat for cold weather
- black unitard for class
- tennis shoes with socks for outdoors (no sandals, or shoes with heels)
When rehearsals are after school, members will be given time to change from their school clothes to rehearsal attire. No one should ever rehearse in school clothes. Almost all summer rehearsals take place outdoors so it is wise to bring water, insect repellant, and sunscreen. Some long rehearsals will require a sack lunch or snack, these will be announced as they arise.
