Page 3 of 12 Absences Color guard is a team sport and when one team member does not fulfill their commitment it hurts the entire team. For this reason, it is extremely important to schedule other events around your rehearsal schedule. Each member must attend all rehearsals. Because color guard is a theatrical production it is relatively simple to take members in or out of the show depending upon their attendance records. If you wish to perform in the entire show, you must attend all rehearsals. We realize that incoming freshmen were not aware of the summer commitment and they may be excused for vacations; however we need to have the dates in writing at the first New Member Orientation Session. After your freshmen year, vacations are expected to be planned in July. Any member missing frequently will be dealt with on an individual basis. This may result in dismissal from the program, regardless of the reason. We can work around middle school functions for the New Student Orientation sessions in May. Please submit any conflicts in writing with your deposit and contract.
