Jefferson Band Boosters grateful for Star City help
The Jefferson High School Band Boosters had a well-attended and highly successful Star City Marching Band Invitational, on Saturday, September 12th. Jefferson hosted a total of 18 bands from high schools across the State of Indiana.
We could not have done it without the time and support of the following organizations and individuals: Wea Township Community Fire Department, the many alumni students and alumni parents who pitched in, Brent Laidler of Brent’s Bench Instrument Repair, Tom Rayner and Omar Masoodi for their efforts in the booth, the JHS Athletic Department, our principal Jeff Studebaker, assistant principal Roger Francis, Bonnie Francis, Deb Burkhart, and the students at the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing for manning the first aid station/water table.
Also, many thanks to the following businesses for their generous food/drink donations: Dog N Suds, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Starbucks (on Creasy Lane) and Texas Roadhouse. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Thanks to all of you.
And finally, thank you to our hard-working, incredibly dedicated band secretary, Jana Reinhart who, somehow manages to create controlled order out of the chaos that exists in any instrumental music department, but especially exists in one as busy as Jefferson’s, without ever losing her cool. As band secretaries go, Jana, you are…priceless.
