Awards and Achievements: The Lafayette Jeff Marching Band is a part of vibrant music program at Lafayette Jefferson High School. Around 1100 students participates in either band, orchestra, choir, color guard, dance, music theory/composition and class piano in the beautiful Rohrman Performing Arts Center which opened this fall. Over 250 students participate in the total band program which includes this all volunteer marching band, 3 concert bands, 2 jazz bands, winter guard and numerous smaller ensembles. The Marching Band has received many awards over the years including ISSMA State Finalist in 2002 and 2005. The Wind Ensemble has been an ISSMA state Finalist for the past 8 years. The Marching Band has performed at the Hollywood Christmas Parade in 2001, Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade in 2003, Pearl Harbor in 2005, and Disney Magic Kingdom in 2007.
