The marching band calendar does not show practices for the first week in September. This is INCORRECT! There will be practice as normal after school Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Since there is no football game on Friday practice will be 3:00-6:00pm. Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused.

The annual Star City Invitational date is set for Saturday, September 11, 2010. Last year's competition was a success with 20 top notch bands from across the state participating. We look forward to this year's event being another success. About JHS Bands |

Jefferson Bands, under the direction of Mr. Thomas W. Barker, Jr., is a collection of performing arts groups representing the Jefferson High School instrumental music department in Lafayette, Indiana. Nearly 300 Jefferson Bands students perform at the local, regional, & national level. Our ensembles include marching band, wind ensemble, symphonic band, freshman concert band, color guard & winter guard performance ensembles, show band, percussion ensemble & jazz ensemble. |
